Today, we learnt more about DC motors and the underlying principle: Namely Fleming's left-hand law. The law states that a charged particle moving through a magnetic field can produce force in another direction. Motors are arranged so that this allows them to spin, converting kinetic force from electric force.
Later we were able to construct a motor itself and test it out. For me, this was the most enjoyable part as while learning theories is interesting applying them is something else altogether.
